Millions of children around the world never see inside a classroom. Whilst many of us hated school, it was the dreams of others to go. However, this opportunity isn’t always available. Some children are forced to drop out due to overcrowded classes, conflict, or their gender. Others never go because they can’t afford the fees or books. This leaves poor children with no means of escape. No means of support. No hope for the future.
In the UK, the poorest children achieve lower grades at school when compared to their wealthier classmates. This is later linked to low pay and unemployment. This means poor kids end up living back in poor communities. Education is a way out for kids whose worlds have turned upside down. It provides them with an escape from daily home life. It creates opportunity for better employment, taking them out of poverty.
At the Jawid Foundation we support needy and orphans by funding their education. We pay for their school fees, books and anything else needed to get them through the education system. We believe that through education, they can rise out of poverty and create a better life for themselves and their families, that’s our aim.
We want to help all children have the opportunity to learn. With your help, we believe we can make a difference. For every child that goes to school, we will see one adult raise their family in poverty. Together, we can make a difference.
